About the Author

When Heidi was little, she loved to play school. She was always the teacher. Unfortunately she couldn't find a lot of children who wanted to be her students. They wanted to be the teacher too. Sometimes Heidi's only students were her dolls. Heidi looked forward to growing up and having a real class, but at Cedar Crest College she discovered that she loved to write even more than she loved to teach. Since then she has written articles that have appeared in newspapers, magazines and on websites. Several have won awards. Heidi's favorite topic is interesting people. Audrey is one of the most interesting people Heidi has ever met! When Heidi isn't writing, she likes to play Scrabble and a sport called pickleball. She also eats more chocolate than she should. Shhh. Don't tell. That is supposed to be a secret.
