In the News: Ronald McDonald Houses (Canada)

Daxton Schlosser got to go home for Christmas, but he'll be back at the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton, Canada, in the new year undergoing treatments to keep his leukemia in remission. His family is one of 27,000 who stay in Ronald McDonald houses in Canada each year. In an interview in The Globe and Mail, one father described Ronald McDonald houses as allowing his family to be "a normal family in abnormal times." He went on to say "the nurses and doctors at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario saved our daughter’s life, but Ronald McDonald House saved our family.” Read more here:
