Steven wanted to get his wife a very special birthday present. He knew how much it would mean to Donnamarie to reconnect with the doctor she credits with saving her life when she was treated for Hodgkin lymphoma as a child. He remembered accompanying Donnamarie to her annual checkup at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia when she was 20 and how sad she was when she learned that she would have to switch doctors because as an adult she would have her checkups at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The doctor Donnamarie remembered so fondly had retired years ago, but through a lot of research Steven was able to get in touch with her.
